Introduction
Nimah is an Islamic lifestyle and habit tracking application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being fully transparent about how we handle your data.
Information We Collect
We collect your email address and name when you create an account. We collect your city and coordinates (latitude and longitude) to calculate Islamic prayer times — when online, prayer times may be fetched from the Aladhan API for your location and calculation method; when offline or if the request fails, times are calculated on your device. We collect your prayer completions, habit logs, dhikr counts, Quran progress, ranked division data, weekly intention text, and related logs to sync your progress across devices. We collect any reflection notes you write in the calendar.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and sync your spiritual progress, calculate prayer times, personalise your experience, process subscriptions through RevenueCat, and send prayer and goal notifications. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to any third party.
We request permission to track your activity across other apps and websites to personalize your experience and show relevant content. You can disable tracking at any time in your device Settings. The app functions fully whether or not you grant tracking permission.
Location Data
Your saved city and coordinates are stored in Nimah and sent only to the Aladhan prayer-times API over HTTPS when a network is available (no advertising use). Nimah’s own servers (Supabase) may store your city name as part of your profile for sync; coordinates are used for calculations and may appear in encrypted backups according to your Supabase project settings. If you deny location or work offline, prayer times still use your last saved coordinates with on-device calculation.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase with encryption in transit and at rest. Your password is never stored in plain text. Data is also cached locally on your device for offline access.
Third Party Services
Nimah uses RevenueCat for subscription management (Apple may receive purchase-related identifiers), Supabase for authentication and encrypted cloud storage, Aladhan for prayer time data when online, Foursquare for the mosque finder feature, and the Adhan library for on-device prayer time calculation. We do not use advertising networks. Nimah Premium is ad-free.
App Store privacy labels (summary)
For Apple’s App Privacy questionnaire, Nimah generally collects: Contact Info (name, email), User ID, Location (coarse / city-level and coordinates you provide for prayer times), Purchases (subscription status via RevenueCat), Product Interaction (habits, dhikr, Quran progress, points), and Diagnostics only if you share crash logs through your device. Data is used for app functionality, analytics is not used for ads, and you can delete your account from Settings → Data & Security → Delete Account.
Your Rights
You may access or delete your data at any time. To delete your account and associated cloud data, open Settings → Data & Security → Delete Account. This removes app-linked data from our Supabase project and clears local progress on the device; your Apple ID subscription (if any) is managed in Apple Subscriptions and may need to be cancelled separately.
